    The Department of Blood Sciences offers the widest range of in-house tests in North East England – we perform over 10 million tests every year.

  • Blood Transfusion

    The Blood Transfusion laboratories provide a transfusion service to patients within the Newcastle Trust, hospices, community clinics and GPs as well as supporting GNAAS. The extensive test repertoire includes blood group and antibody screening, antibody investigations, isohaemagglutinin titration, phenotyping, antenatal serology including kleihauer, and compatibility testing (electronic and serological).
